This is a list of the most memorable past and present players to have played Shadowmere & Forgotten World. They have come and gone over resets (_and some still remain_), but whether for good or bad reasons they will forever remain in our memories, and have become synonymous with Shadowmere.
(PS: It is bad taste to edit your own entry :P)
AKA: "List of Players that People Remember" ==> Only insofar as there were many outstanding players of the game that didn't necessarily equate to top 10 rankings. If the list were limited to that, then this page would not showcase all that this game stood for and should still stand for. There were and still are other elements of the game that should also be fostered, not just playing skill. Besides -- if you go through the whole past, then there is really no standard for ranking people equally since this game has changed a lot over the years.

Selfless member of the Aussie Crew. His WE's or Humans would get res in the first 200 turns. Set over.
Affe is the GREATEST WORST PLAYER EVER! All bow to his mighty monkey powers!
But then again, they usually don't...

I AM THE ONE WHO IS MOST HATED.
Mana player.
(Why does no one spell out his full name?!) --Still an overlord.
Anti is THE best player in SM when he is active!

Mana-race player.
Hi all, my name is Azmo and I am a Shadowmere-aholic. I think I have my problem under control these days because I only run 2 to 3 Kingdoms, but all that really means is I am deluding myself. I still log on before work, at work, after work and keep a window logged in at all times while at home - with msn primed to alert me to other players being online. I regularly miss out on sleep (and probably other bedroom activities) because I am working on stacks with my allies until after midnight. I have an excel spreadsheet for every race that calculates food grown versus consumed, required troop housing, study power, and how much mana I need to put into GP and CF to not starve. 99% of all my HTML knowledge comes from having to write Shadowmere guides, alliance home pages, info tables and now css files. 99% of my PaintShop Pro knowledge comes from making Shadowmere banners and History images. I genuinely look for parallels between Shadowmere and Real Life. I am currently trying to decide if I have enough "Land Base" to go on a "Study Run", since my "Economy" is not high enough. There is no helping me. Eight near continuous years of Shadowmere participation has left my mind permanently altered.

Currently player.
The best deity ever(debatable)
Also a charter member of the Nubians as Llyr Tyranis of AILILL BANAN
She has been around longer than most and is one of the nicer personalities to bless Shadowmere. See Darke Raven
A past member of the Horde and amazing RPer. -Oel
A selfless ally and master of High Elves.
AKA Catseye. His long-standing, creative approach to RP has been known to brighten many a player's day. The bunnies running his kingdom would often post in GM and give us a hint of the adventures and mishaps that often occur when your kingdom is run by bunnies.
Note: under nobody's permission was the list of leading Bunnies added - they just wanted to add themselves into the scrolls of immortality.
Markus Silverpaw - Diplomacy Bunny: This silver furred and very friendly rabbit tends to the political issues of the Bunny Den whether it be within the Den itself or with thier neighbors. Unfortunately, for the residents of the Bunny Den being Rabbits and their neighbors being Werewolves, Ogres, Trolls, and Vampires, politically winning anything with their neighbors will prove to be a challenge...
Thephanis - Tactician Bunny: This Sprite that wears cotton rabbit ears is responsible for the defenses of the Bunny Den and the safety of the residents. Desipte his outlandish presentation (even for Sprites), he is very good with at his job.
Hermanestinio Higarakiminishi - Carpenter Bunny: Just call him Herb! This brown furred rabbit is responsible for keeping the houses and buildings of the Bunny Den standing tall and upright - which is kind of hard due to the fact that the only materials he gets to work with are Coke cans and toothpicks!
Mikkirki Bluesummers - Morale Bunny: This rather tall Sprite is responsible for keeping the residents of the Bunny Den happy and cheerful. She is also the one that keeps the morale up in times of battle (sometimes just being there is sufficient). Mikkirki is living proof that you CAN keep everybody happy at the same time. How she manages this is unknown, but rumor has it that she is the most powerful Mage in the Kingdom, but she will not verify this rumor. She stands out from the other Sprites, as she is clad only in a scant golden ribbon that somehow covers her in a way that doesn't break obscenity laws.
I got a new Pac-Man machine! THAT'S NOT WHAT THE WIKI'S FOR!!!
Tathelia Darkwinters - Magician Bunny: This black furred rabbit clad in dark purple robes is the most powerful Sorceress in the Den and probably the most powerful in the Universe of Uno. Moody and Reclusive, one won't see her outside of her study in the Tower of Magic Stuff, but when she does pop out, know that a lot of Runeflinging will be going on!
Frank Whackwidget - Technology Bunny: Frank is a gray furred rabbit wearing an odd assortment of leather, cloth, and metal thrown together to make a jerkin and breeches. An antenna is lanced through his left ear and pointed upwards to do something. Frank is responsible for all technological advances in Construction and Weapons and Armor development. He also build the Voice Tower, which makes him loved and hated by everybody at the same time.
Instructor Jeremiah - Instructor Bunny: This dark gray furred rabbit is responsible for ensuring that the Carpenters, Sorceresses, and Students get a decent enough education in order to keep the Bunny Den up and running and alive. Rumor has it that, though he is pleasant to be around, he is an insufferable bore...
Kippy The War Vet: Thought to have been dead in the Battle of Myridia (When the Myridia Carnival Section of the Den existed), this half-crazed, battle hungry, white rabbit in green commando attire lives for only one thing: Warfare (At his age, you'd think it'd be retirement!). One would never guess that he'd been in so many battles, as blood is never seen on his person.
The friend of newbies, writer of SM Chronicle. Very skilled D&D player, too :) THE Former Purple Dragon deity, giver of huggs and advice to all his followers. ; ) Creator of the Casters Madness Alliance
Amazing player, if you have him on your team consider that universe already won.
3rd Ruler of SoulForge Alliance and an awesome mathematical player.
High Elf member of Chaos Lords Offensive Alliance, real life friend of Accaron and Longbeard, which became known as the 3 Aussies. Began spamming titles for himself in GM. Nicknamed Cath for short.
Brains trust of the Aussie Crew. His HE's were the bane of every kd's existence. No barrier could keep him out.
Skilled RPer, a decent player, she frequented General Mail a lot. - Manwue
A member of what I refer to as "extended GT"
He had a fondness for naming his kingdoms with original names such as "An Orc" "An Elf" "A Vamp" etc
He introduced Cathedral to the glory of High Elves
Bahamut Kingdom
One of the strong dark hearts of The Horde alliance (plus an orginal member) - and also he's one of The Horde's Generals. Rumor has it that there was no room for advancement in ranking until Chunk killed two thirds of the other officers off. But I'm sure if that was true then it was by the old Horde rules, and wouldn't apply today's rules...
Anyhow, he likes to play Leps & Ogres. Likes to hit really hard, and has been known to hit on the same target for days on end. I'd say he needs some anger management, but he's really nice king to the rest of us Horde - so I don't really care about those others he chops up... And of course he's a devote follower of The Dreaded Demon Lord, but who in their right mind wouldn't be following Him??

Brother of Hippy; Watch this Space Member.
Dano is (was?) a long standing member of the Shadowmere Community, founding member of many memorable alliances, including Vagabound and Good Times. He first joined up with his real life friend Karl, also known as Verbal.
After a while of learning the ropes, and accidentally becoming multies with Karl several times due to logging in at his house and not understanding the multies rule, Dano was ready to make a serious run for the top ranks. For this purpose he and Karl became part of an alliance known as Old Testament, all their kingdom names were from the Old Testament of the bible, i.e Genesis etc. I belive they caused serious problems for the ruling alliance, but I'm not sure if they won out in the end or not.
What they did learn from this was that high quality weapons and armour were very powerful in the higher ranks, and having them or not was the difference between glorious victory and crushing defeat.
Dano was a player with plenty of time on his hands, so in the next reset he created many multies (this was when multies were allowed) but the true spearhead of his personal kingdom group was his Dwarf, known as Herbage. This was the beginnings of the alliance known as Vagabound.
The main competition for him in this round was Inky of Weapons Inc (Minotaur and Thalandor of Qualinesti (Gnome). Inky and Thalandor had gained a massive jump on everybody else through a clever goading of some land fat vampire players in general mail resulting in the vampires making some rather rash decisions on their ability to do any damage to Inky and Thalandor.
Where Inky had a Gnome in support, Dano had a Halfling run by Karl by the name of Spoiler, and this is where the lesson learned in the past reset regarding the ownership of high quality weapons and armour was intended to come into play.
Of course, first Dano had to get within hitting distance of Weapons Inc to slow Inky's progress and this was proving difficult due to a halfling parasite he had picked up by the name of Ratiodecendi, run by Phooney, a member of the Nubian Alliance. Ratiodecendi was clearing out Herbage's supply of weapons and armour on a daily basis, so Dano had to call in the services of Spoiler and a multi High Elf by the name of Devastation to tie Ratiodecendi up in a looting war.
Around this time, the gap was closing in on Inky and Thal, but more numbers would be needed. A shakey truce was negotiated with the Nubians and Dano and Karl gained the services of Floppy, Jackie (then known as Nosferatu) and Nick. Vagabound was finalised and free to chase the top.
It was only a matter of time. With similar levels of weapons and armour study, a halfling reducing their defences to token and superior numbers resulting in ever escalating stacking retaliations, even the large headstart couldn't stop the inevitable. Vagabound claimed the universe and set about aserting their dominance on the game.
With the help of ghost land (an insane balance idea from Eric intended to offset the destroy land option)and friendly abuse Dano's dwarf Herbage, along with the rest of Vagabound grew to an absolutely insane size, with Floppy topping out at 1.3million land before it was decided that ghost land wasn't really that great an idea.
The next round, Dano remained with Vagabound. Nick discovered that War Machines were now insanely strong, Which led to Dano's Orc Savoy being an absolute monster. For all intents and purposes there was no opposition to Vagabound this time, everybody who stood in the way was destroyed.
At the end of that round it was decided that they didn't want to unleash another such one-sided fight on the universe, so they would split. Jackie and Floppy went their own way, picking up a player then known as Sundance, now more commonly known as Sunna.
Dano, Karl and Nick went their own way, inviting Phooney, Gimli and Karma (aka Jinn).
The next round the name of Dano's alliance was The Bar. Everybody's kingdom was named after a kind of alcohol. With Nick's direction, The Bar was well in the lead, but for some reason, this was reset very quickly, about 1.2k turns in.
Due to some personality clashes with Karma, he was not part of the group in the next round. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that the alliance would now be named after one of Dano's favourite sayings. This saying was "Good Times".
By this time it seemed Dano was pretty well specialised in the role of the equipment man, so he remained the Dwarf/Orc player for Good Times, continuing to produce the best equipment the quickest, taking much strain off his allies. It was always known that Jackie and Floppy's alliance would be the main opposition, but in this first round several things held them back, poor race choice, not quite enough numbers of quality allies, a well timed undispellable dark paradise, very early and just generally out raced by Nick in terms of being able to support everybody with quick gold and troops. Good Times won this round.
The next round is one that will remain known as one of the worst in the history of the game. It is documented in a story on the Shadowmere Compendium "The Age of the Big Orcs (and Dwarves)". To sum it up, one of the most interesting and long fights for the top of a universe was unrepairably interfered with by the owner of the game at the time, Eric.
Dano was extremely disheartened by this, and left the game. Of course he was a true addict, and came back shortly afterwards, and it was around this time that Dano and Good Times expanded their interests to the other universes, first testing the water in Trood, and then spreading to Hadro and Sera as well.
Eric and Pumasys pretty much gave up on Shadowmere around this time. This resulted in a few months where Dano pretty much dropped off the radar. Seeing as his only method of communication with the Shadowmere Community had come through SM Chat and ally mail, he was impossible to contact.
Fortunately, he was right there when the game came back online under the control of Jackie and Sunna, and the rest of Good Times rejoiced.
Dano remained a cornerstone of Good Times over the next several resets. Always Jackie and Floppy's alliance plagued them, beating them on several occassions, but probably more than half the time, Good Times won out.
Over the course of his career, Dano felt the brunt of many coding bugs. Such things as resurrection being spelled incorrectly in the code resulting in quests being missed, a bug in stacking spells resulting in his dark elf having nothing to sap, and getting crushed on retals by Sina and Gary due to having no real barriers are a couple of note.
Sadly, things like this somewhat crushed Dano's spirit in the game, his long time friend Karl no longer played and the long hours were really getting to him. I think it was at about this point, when an alliance known as Manyland was coming into power that Dano was never quite the same.
An amazing player, a dedicated ally, a hilarious person. I hope he will come back one day.

A finer person you would be hard pressed to find. She made Shadowmere worth playing for her allies.
Diablo is one of the most enigmatic players the Shadowmere has, he is from Croatia and the things he lacks he makes up with his goodness. Going trough some rough time in his life and getting so much bashing from some of the current players, that it has amazed me how on earth does he keep coming back , many would give up long time ago - but not Diablo - allways trying to help and always has positive attitude. Combaining the busy real life with time to play shadowmere I believe he is one of the most interesting persons there. With the time in hand he is doing quite well I have to say. Some people claim he is a bad person and does not understand many things - well I dont really believ that, taking he is not native english speaker, I think he has given a good contribution to Shadowmere and to its spirit. Keep up the good work mate

Discoverer of many bugs when this game was known as FW. He was the first player to get a thread against him for bombarding someone 52 times, which The Hive quickly lifted the unprotected land. He also discovered many other interesting bug, including one that allowed players to have negative score. If there was a bug in the game to abuse, Dillybobs was on top of it... Following with player complaints in GM wondering just how he had done it.
One of the orginal members of The Horde, this "rat" joined the cause of evil because he was always getting his butt kicked by them ("evil" vamps, ogres, wolves - you name it!), and thus by doing so would quietly climb to the (near)top while supplying his evil co-members with food/gold/etc. along the way. He isn't one of the greatest warriors in the shadowmere world, and so if you lose to him then you must REALLY sux! Anyhow, at the start of every restart he always beleives he has a major awesome plan to take over the new universe. Thus far all the plans have blown up into his face - he trips/falls/cries/gets back up again.

Dismortis was a legend primarily known for his deeds in the alliance called Lepreco. The master of multi's and the poster of trout in GM, Dismortis appeared to be everywhere. In fact, it is rumored that in fact most of the players in the game are in fact DISMORTIS HIMSELF!!
Dismortis was like a father to alot of young leprechauns. He left with a simple gm post
"Dismortis Endgame"
There are still some who knew him well who say Dismortis lives on, that only he name Dismortis Died, yet the players still around.
Wrote the first great help site. Always up to date and had great strategies written by some of the great players of the time such as Trystan, Mazriel, Demandred, and koolplay
Created the Covenant which was able to defeat the Sexy Assassins and take down two gremlins. Later his alliance merged with Demandred's alliance to become the Midnight Covenant which won multiple rounds untill all the key players retired.

He was almost always seen playing gnomes (when gnomes did 5k food per complete farm).

One of the first players I noticed in Shadowmere. He was one of the players I looked up to when I was a new player. He allways had the will and the time to try to answer all of my n00b questions when I asked them and I consider him a good person and a good friend.
He had mastered two races to perfection : Orcs and Sprites, especially Orcs - only very few could've matched the skills with Orcs that he posessed. If you need advice on them go find him.

Well he started Shadowmere about the same time I did. One of my better allys and friends in shadowmere. Now I would say he is the heart of the Horde. And I must say one of the best role players in the game if you ask me.

Doom will crush all of those that do not bow down to him. Learn this well or be destroyed! Other than that he's a fairly nice guy - if you can put up with;" do this now! Where ARE you people; log ON now?! Did I not say to kill them?! Kill, KILL, Kill!!!".. He is however super nice to Demon Lord - always obeying Him, killing whoever DL desires. I just got to admire someone like that who "loves" an deity of MASS DESTRUCTION OF ALL THOSE WHO LIVES IN THIS WORTHLESS UNIVERSE (but Horde will be the last to die - because we're special)...OH sorry! I guess I been reading too many of Lord Doom's AM posts lately; the effect is dazzling isn't it..?:)

An australian lady of good RP and playing skills. Created Echo's Pic Page that had all our pictures in it for others to look and laugh at.

Eric was a pretty good guy -- but at times seemed a lazy admin. He was the better of the two pumasys guys: Parker being the second.
- Eric was a decent player of Forgotten World (played a dwarf), when he bought the game from Dan. A few resets later renamed the game to "Shadowmere" as the "Forgotten World" name brand was registered allready. His RL job at pumasys prevented him from devoting too much time to the game, so he hired Parker as his helper in his attempt to improve the game and make it more popular.
- Manwue
Also known as formermarine.
Drinks fireballs, brother of the janitor kellen
The player behind Fachie is a wonderful guy, even if many of us detested the Fachie character lol. His other main character was Siyrell, a demon, follower of Demon Lord, member of the Horde, father of Christian and mate of Bescanon.
The true queen of Forgotten Worlds / Shadowmere.
Within the top 1 players to have ever played the game. His skills are something to be feared and so is his temper. He understands basically every race to a t and will make you pay if you don't as well. Loves to make people angry at him for his own entertainment, but all in all he is an great guy and a trustworthy ally.

Floppy was one of the best players in Shadowmere for a long while. A master of tactics and good at training noobs, he led his alliance to a rapid victory in the first draft then vanished shortly there-after.
Better known as the Overlord Erick, totally insane, but a good guy
Pretty decent ling player. Annoying bastard, good friend lol. -Neo
Plagued by the Poor Sport Racoon who is always deleting anything anyone has good to say about him and Fang in the Wiki. Poor Coon the poor sport.. lol

== and castles... would even force a werewolve to build one.== nevon
You wish you were as good as gary.
Originator of the Alliance known as SoulForge. He was also known as Archer.
The player behind these two characters was an excellent RPer, he was very active during the time of the royals as the character Archer of Aseroth and was married to Raizel of Maralite, with whom he had a daughter named Leilani of Briarsbane. The character Archer was half-brother to the lady Libertine of Chance.
Gimli was once rumoured to run as many multies as Dismortis himself. When trying to describe where Gimli began it is very difficult because, due to the number of multies he ran, it was like one minute he was nowhere and the next he was everywhere. He was in every alliance. He was everybody's ally. He was everybody's hated enemy.
Late 2000 early 2001 is when I first knew of Gimli's existence. He sent me my own alliance mail and mocked me about it.
Gimli would have been torn apart at that point in time, but he had been taken under the tutelage of Vagabound mastermind, Nick, who curbed the hate away from Gimli and requested he be given a chance. Gimli appreciated the boon and became somewhat more civilised to those who would teach him. His public relations front remained abrasive for tactical benefit and amusement.
When the Vagabound Juggernaut finally split to allow for more competition Gimli, along with Phooney and Karma (Aka Jinn), was invited to join Dano, Karl and Nick in a newly formed alliance to be called The Bar.
As mentioned, Gimli was a master of multies at this point, endlessly testing various things with 30 or more multies at any given time. Through this methodology, Gimli happened across a great discovery. Midas touch was way overpowered in the hands of a sprite in the beginning. With further tweaks to the sequence of turns in the opening stages, it was quite likely that the sprites of The Bar would be able to rush to an amazing early lead. Though still not as quick as some of the more aggressive races, the land gained would be far more useful with these mana factories.
This reset was extremely short, but with Nick paving the way it was a decisive victory for The Bar. After this round Karma went his own way due to some disagreements.
The next round the remaining members of The Bar decided the alliance name wasn't quite ringing true for them, and as nice as an alliance theme is, it is just too conspicuous. The Good Times Offensive Alliance was created.
Though still pouring what seemed like 40+ hours a day into his many multies, Gimli's specialty with the Good Times alliance was the brute force of the Ogre. With natural talent, and experienced support, Gimli's ogres laid to waste many unfortunate kingdoms.
Overall, you'd have to say Gimli's tactic was all-out offence, not quite as often going into full bunkering mode as his allies. While he didn't sit and watch the rankings page for movement all that much, Phooney did, and Phooney told Gimli when somebody was wearing the llama suit. Gimli stole land without a hint of regret and took the heat for rankings-watching in both general mail and in strongly worded private mails. Of course, by all outwards appearances, Gimli had a heart of stone and laughed directly into the faces of his mutilated victims, their loved ones and their associates.
Behind the scenes, Gimli was a fantastic learner, a loyal ally and a formidable player.
Gimli, master of multies, founding member of Good Times, follower of Phish, we salute you!
- Phooney
Gimli is rumored to have so many multies at one time, that the server was lagging because of them. The majority of the players whould enter chat and "/me throws gimli to the server". Amazingly, it worked.

Founder of the Illustrious Paladin Order.
Golgol is a character that has seen many a glorious moments in Shadowmere history.
From the days of when the Thunder Chain allaince set the moral and role play standard for most of the shadowmere community, to now, where he has returned once again to the Shadowmere community. Playing mostly for the social aspect now, Golgol has plenty of stories from the days of old to make you long for the Shadowmere in its infancy stage of Forgotten Worlds.

Much of Karl's history has already been detailed in the story of Dano, so I won't go into the same details here.
Karl was a man of few words, so few words in fact that his allies nicknamed him "Verbal" due to the irony of it.
Karl's kingdom that I have the fondest memory for (in a glutton-for-punishment kind of way) is his halfling Spoiler.
In the days when there was no defence against a halfling loot and there was no defence full stop without high quality weapons and armour, the halfling was a dangerous kingdom if you could get it going. Halflings could have online loot wars amongst themselves. With both kingdoms looting each other at the same time, they both usually ended up roughly where they started, with the hope that one day they'd get the drop on the other. Easily the longest standing series of loot wars I've heard of was between Spoiler and Ratiodecendi. Spoiler cleared out Ratiodecendi of weapons and armour, Ratiodecendi looted them back and commenced trying to sell them on the OM, only to have them looted again etc.
I'll never forget the first time he said anything to me. A request for p2p came up in chat, we had been allied for a week or so at this point, seeing each other in chat (no speaking) every day.
I said "hey man, how's it going?" "looks like your sprite is doing really well"
His response? "i"
Then he left chat. Some might say he was just taking things slowly, getting used to talking with new people. Me, I think that simple proclaimation of self says more than it's mere single character would suggest. It says "I know my sprite is doing well, idiot, what do you expect?" It says "I think we're going to win"
Karl was a reliable ally, if he said he was going to be there at 4:30am for that 3 minute open window of opportunity, he would be there without fail.
The amount of dry humour in the game approximately halved when Karl left.
Katrin is one of the oldest patrons of chat -- *Katrin gives you a flower* :)
Longstanding member of the Nubians, member of the High Council and occasional leader. Experienced with Minotaurs, ale and not much else, Kingdan is always willing to help and advise where he can. One of SMs least knowledgeable but 'able' players, dont expect the King to know anything about weapons % curves or maximum building benefits.....alround good guy, one of those who plays for the fun and leaves the numbers to those who have time to count.

aka big hairy farmboy...likes to feed the cocks every morning...sucks at centaur but good personality if you like psychos!
--- PIKACHU I CHOOSE YOU!!! --- Labby's identity still remains a mystery to most (but not all ;0)) -- He terrorized General Mail and Chat in the days of Eric and Parker. At one point his IP was hardcoded for banning :)
Side note --- Hated the word Shoppe
Wife of King Hemp
Some would say...charistmatic leader and founder of the Ladies and Knights. The alliance was located solely in Uno, and also guided by Sephiroth123. Because of many disputes in the eyes of the public, however, Lady Galahad left, though the L&K continue to live on (in some). She was a girl, she did stuff, she annoyed everyone a lot.
He AK headshot skeletor constantly, and life was good.
The player who first broke orcs.
Libertine or Libby to those who knew and loved her, was Captain of I believe the Order of the Rose for the Royal Family, she was an excellent Rper with a moderately good game when it came to actually playing. She was fiercely protective of those she loved and always an honest and honorable person. Her talents were taken from us when a tragic accident killed her husband, years later not yet recovered, she still has not come back to us, yet in our thoughts and prayers will she forever be. Player is inactive.
The character Libertine was generally inseparable from her best friend Raizel (not Raziel) the red headed gypsy that married her half brother Archer of Aseroth. She & Raizel acted as barmaids in the once famous bar & tavern owned by Nauticus. Libertine had a romance with the centaur Charon before finally settling with Kainis (and consequently the player behind Kainis, her future husband). Another memorable character played by this woman was Cassiandora, a member of the Royal family, half sister of Sirse & Naineh, full sister of Nighthawk. She served as a queen for a while during Sirse's absence, married Lord Raccoon (I think this marriage was later annulled) and then proceeded to have a romance with Marcus, a werewolf (again the player being her future husband).
Fond of Halflings - this lady is a thoughtful and willing ally.
Plays Werewolves and Vampires, kingdoms always have "chicks" in the name in some form or another. "MeanChicks", "UglyChicks", etc...
How can no one have written about me?!?!
Muscle of the Aussie Crew. Terrorised SM with his dwarves. Miner of gold.

The mystic Loren is an awesome mage (= good with mana races), and is currently linked to The Horde Alliance - as one of its more powerful members.

This Ex-Lepreco Veteran has been Around since the game was made. Now days he tends to play deitys or mess around rather then take a universe. He Tends to Be a Deity now as well. He Is Currently the number one deity in dan And hadro. One of his only downfalls s once the universe is sealed he never stays up top. He prefers it in the mid ranks cause he likes the challenge of stacks. He mostley plays WE, but His Strongest Race Was always DE or Sprite.
He Ran the Compendium for a while, Is a SM admin. And Helped In many aspects of gameplay Such as Bug Finding And Graphics.
Infamous. Good at burning the woodies
Member of the Hatters
No longer roomate of jdog and SexyGnome.
Leader of many Lepro terrorist spin offs to challange the established allinces.
Semi deranged at best.
Long time friend and co-designer of early tatics to corner the market of everything
One of the best DE players i have every played with
Lover of llamas
A great warrior he is devoted to Raynor's light. I haven't known him long but he seems fairly skilled and is a great ally!
Written by Araziel
One of the old players of the game. He has been playing SM for too long. Always there to help newbies and train them. Standard Horde memeber in dan; also owner of the Chancellors OA in sera in the past.

Merlin will rock your face off too!!! ~Erick
Merlin= best ally ever. -Neo
He may most notably be remembered for his Role Play, and epic battles with Intruder; He went on to create the shadowmere wrestling federation which was very active in its time as a role playing element in chat; Also, he was co-owner of the Black Rose, an alliance that was very dedicated to Role Play. (He still plays.)
I can't believe they didn't have you in here mikey! Mikey once wrote a story about me called "Fritzo the Skitzo." I'll never forget that or the wonderful love we share for each other....or I share for him....or something along those lines.

"NECROPOWA!!!" - FP
A minto is like a mintro only nice. He can be found in his home of the nubian alliance in dan and is a veteran of the game and the nubians, 7 years as a nubian and 8 years as a player. By player i dont mean he hangs out at bars looking for his next conquest. His user name, fossil, is his own form of humor in regards to his age. He is so ancient he was flecks of grey in this nether regions. Minotaurs and humans are his race of choice, and while he is a formidable opponant likes to play a peaceful game. All of his allies think of him fondly, as he will always do what ever he can to help a friend, even if its burning 100 turns to generate gold. I hear from his girlfriend he gives the best hugs, and isnt selfish in the bedroom in the least! Selfless is his middle name, assuming john means selfless to you.
The legendary Lord Mintro. Mintro has been around the game for years now and is still an active player in the game. Known primarily for his wicked werewolves (as well as wood elves and goblins) Mintro always seems to be lingering in the top 25 (at least) no matter if he is solo or if the race he is playing is considered weak. A very loyal and selfless ally, Mintro has served well in many alliances over the years. He was also a member of the Wankers which was able to control Dan. Mintro was a key element in the fight with incredible support from his Wood Elf. Mintro also has an incredible understanding of game mechanics over the last few years.
-
Mintro was a founding member of "The Order of Ul-mar" alliance.
- Manwue
Your very friendly admin
Hails from northern europe and just recently got married YAY!
-Jumpy
Outstanding player who always seems to win unis. Mystik has a masters understanding of the game and if you need advice he is the one to go to. He's smooth with the ladies and likes to toss back a few with the boys.
-FP
One of the better vampires of the game, ...
The man with the tentacles, who created the original bar in chat. He was very skilled at roleplaying, and has been lost to us for a long, long time.
Said to be once linked to LightHouse - King Neverwond has been a good alliance member to have around; always ready for a stack, snack (lol), or to give a much needed trade to other co-members. Thus far I have seen him play gnolls and ogres quite well.

Played Shadowmere since 1999, taught & trained to love leprechauns by Fire1. Main kingdom known by: Niggl of Nowhere
An absolute pain in the bum if you're trying to save your gold for a rainy day, Niggls leps will ALWAYS pop by and 'borrow' it while youre not looking. An excellent player and leader of the Nubian Alliance. Needs to clean AM more :)
Has a very sexy Danish fiancee who all the nubians lust after when his back is turned. She is known as Mrs. Niggl.
If you put a E after niggl's name be warned, he will have a tantrum and soon u will find e's after your name.
A great player, he left the game in 2006 to join the Israeli military.
One of the few RPers left in SM. Unfortunately he is a bit inactive some time now.

Panoyiza was the Goddess of Reason and Sister of another Goddess, Tinker. She lived among mortals however as Panoyiza Seleno, and lead the High Elf kingdom of Kloriean. She was known most notably for joint-leading the Sagittarius Defensive/Offensive Alliance with Charon, participating in the role-playing of the Royal Family and Court as the Lady Knight Commander of the Silver Orb Order of Knights, and befriending many along the way.
The same person also created one of the greatest and most powerful deities of Shadowmere history: Spyderr, the Goddess of Chaos and Nature. Spyderr was known for her cruelty and close friendship with Skeletor.
Also, she acted as an administrator of the realm under Eric/Parker and Jackie/Sunna. She played primarily from 1998-2003. Like many, it is said she still visits from time to time.
The second of the pumasys pair, Parker was the very protective and very proactive admin of the two, punishing often and doing his very best to censor certain offensive content.
Player for 6+ years. Member of numerous successful alliances. Usually a dark elf or sprite. Not so active anymore.
If you use bright green, he will ban you!
One of the best lings ever... for that matter one of the best players ever. He has ties back to NZ, so look out!!! he is a little cooky. Phooney kicks butt and is tons of fun to play with. He is active, and extremely skilled. Top Ten player ever in many lists. Thats due to both skill level and fun.
Founding member of Good Times.
Master of The List.
He taught me how to successfully start a human kingdom back in the days. --Stein 04-Dec-2007 19:04 CET
Every alliance needs someone to provide vision and direction and poto was that guy. Not only that, but he also happens to be in my list of the top 3 players I ever played with. Not too shabby really.
Thanks PotO, for the direction you took us in Lighthouse, that one reset, and I would hate to be on the wrong end of the stick fighting against PotO, that's for sure. Just scary, with what he came up with
Was a below avg player, until potO , showed me a little bit of the Light, and SM is a very bright light, by the way....:P
The man in green -- See narmir.
Prodigy or "The Prodigy" was one of the origianl followers of the leprenomicon, His breed of players have all but died, he maintained The Compendium, Lepronet, And Still went to all means of online forums to enlist players to the realm of Shadowmere.
One of the most veteran players we have had to-date, and arguably the best Role Player the game has ever known -- he has done many dozens of different characters in different styles with almost all the major alliances throughout the many years, and was even known to have his different avatars creatively interact with each other in chat (in character, of course -- he's not that crazy).
Tears of Fire !
Expert human, real life friend and ex-roomate of Neo. He once discovered that unhoused pop still made gold and discovered that unhoused scholars studied. He then had his human making multi-billions of gold every turn, on 45k land. He was the human member of Opulence Offensive Alliance, and the owner of the brief Insurrection Offensive Alliance, in which he and NeoPhYte, left Opulence Offensive Alliance and attacked other members of their old alliance. He then recruited two upcoming vampires in Sera in Blade and Wallachia. Became semi-inactive after that, and has never played seriously again.
The Reaper of Souls, Raziel was an excellant Rper who always played a mean Vamp, always fun to RP with and very well spoken, a good man who has been away from the community for far too long. Player is inactive
Husband of Wen, Ren was a great numbers player and a good friend, always to be counted on to be drunk and friendly and always there to listen if you had something you wanted to say. A man who loved a good arguement almost as much as a good pint and was always a player to be reckoned with when he played. Player is currently inactive
Was here.
Best solo player of all time. He plays infrequently, but when he does the top rankings always belong to him.
Long known as an ogre player and an important member of the Nubian Offensive Alliance, his activity level dropped when he & his wife had their first child.
This was a very odd sort of fellow -- he roleplayed quite a bit, and often about a strange squirrel. Probably not many remember him, but as a roleplayer, he deserves a spot :)
--Still ahead of Septh, even alphabetically :)
Also known as Travis, Basically he is in charge of chat. And breaks it often :P j/k -- Fritz
One of the first people to play the game, with it since it's inception. No longer active but checks the boards at least twice a week. Was the first to make "Troll speak" popular, cause he invented it. Was leader of just about every evil allaince and is/was considered to be the best spy/info gatherer in the game bar none, truely a Man among mice, the game is hurt by his absence. Rude, crude and insulting
A ruthless player that is very demanding of his allies. Master of stacks and an excellent grasp of the game mechanics.
Lady Silver Song, aka SS,aka MH,inheritor of The Hatter's hat, after the original MadHatter left us. She makes HighElves look easy, and keeps the Hatter's in line. A wonderful player and friend, also makes very good drinks in chat. ; )
QUEEN Sirse.
Sirse, pronounced "Seer cee", was considered "Queen" because she headed an Allaince called the Royal Family, it was this "Royal Family" who helped spur this game to it's most popular point, at which time there was only one universe there were no multis and players couldn't be deities. Through her hardwork as well as other noteable Rpers, Ulfa/Mar, Libertine/Cassiandora, Trystan, Septh, Chenrezi, Raccoon, Naineh/Bescanon, Kaz/Garath, Lissaros, Valnerak. These players in particular brought a level of writing and Role play to the game that helped draw players in when there was an oversaturation of Browser based non graphical MMO's on the web. Helped make the game stand out with deep intrigue and lavish balls and epic wars. Through thier hard work and later the hard work of others the game became what it is today. Sadly only Raccoon still actively plays the game, for various reasons, death maturity, the direction of gameplay the degradation of the community for whatever reason they are all gone now.
Still no one can deny the impact they made on the game and no one who played in those days will every forget Queen Sirse of Oracle's End.
He was either the most loved or hated player in the game, depending on who you talked to.
SlayerBabe played centaurs a long time ago, and once was endeared by Intrepid. Then along came the impersonator...
Solo was a good player who frequented in Uno from its early days -- he played in the Hatters, often as a Dark Elf (I think). He hasn't played recently, probably due to the growth of his family and busy time with work.
One of the founding Fathers of the Horde and long time General of said allaince Snyperr was an excellant role player, well liked and was always up for a good battle be it word or game. Player is currently inactive
A long time player of sm. Been here since the start in one way or another. I have lead major alliance and been in some minor ones as well. While Ive never been considered a super player ( because I really play for fun rather then crunching numbers) I am usually somewhere near the top. Currently I own the compendium but I dont really have the time to update it as needed. I am always looking for new players to help out, esp ones that know php coding.
Stankonia hasn't been around for a long time, but has proven himself to be a threat in most uni's. His favorite race is humans for their versatility and ability to buy the market out all in one move. Time to time you will c him RP, but for the most part he just likes to joke around. Never underestimate em he is a force to be reckon with.
The most influent philosopher of SM, if that might be said. He created - or sistematized when he did not - the calculators and gave us a great light in our path. Thanks to the calculator, a lot of the strats are easier, and we can enjoy more easily the Role Playing. Well, that's a thing to say, he rescued this wonderful game, com'on, he is one of my heroes!
Written by Lexfield
The best player when it comes to playing a human kd. Currently Overlord of SM, giving his all to make it a better game. Keep up m8!
Written by Doom
While many players complain about the changes stein makes to the game, I think overall most agree that he is the best thing that has happened to SM in a while. Without Him, Kol, and the rest of the dev team, SM would be back to what it was in the late days of Sunna and Jackie, nothing but friendly abuse/LTs and Resets lasting waaaay too long. Trying his best to make SM great again, and doing better at it than any of us could.
written by Fritzendugan
Sunna is the wife of Jackie. She was born in Germany and lives in England. She was an Overlord of Shadowmere till her real life got higher priority.
Not many remember this firecracker, however, he was very active in roleplay.
One of the best HEs the game has ever known.
Has his own RP thread titled "theabyss's awesome rpm thread" or variations of. Recently returned (1 day a week?) to brighten our days with his aforementioned thread and his often witty and totally irrelevant coments on various gm posts.
As a player he easily surpassed his mentors skills early on, and now shows him little respect.
Good player, taught me the basics of running a successful kingdom. Sometimes steps on others nerves.
As known as NOA/NIA alliance Member He started Shadowmere 3 years ago and joined up with NOA/NIA for TANKTANK7 does come back as revenge on those who attack... TANKTANK7 does not play when he gets attacked.. They thought they were always a step ahead of me well I was 3 steps further and waiting.. When get bitten from Vamps TANKTANK7 comes and slices up with Arson. So Don't mess with NOA/NIA or you will Parish. 1. SHADOWMERE FOR LIFE! Once a Shadowmere Player is alway's a Shadowmere Player...
-Trollking
Voted Most Whiney player in General Mail
Out standing brute race player. If his trolls come your way...its over!
Another of those lawyers playing Shadowmere.
One of the most skilled deities of all time -- she excelled at all elements that deities required in order to survive. She was a skilled roleplayer and participated in many events, and lasted for a while as one of the top (and a few times) top deities--she maintained quite a lot of followers in her day.
PSSST: Sephiroth123 is STILL High Priest of Tranquility :)
AKA Sephiroth123123
Been around forever and loves to code, you can usually find him puttering around chat
A top notch sprite among the oldest of the sprite players, often competing with Sephiroth123 for top sprite spot.
(WHO FORGOT TRUNKS?)
Last seen under the sea with a bunch of other guys
Trystan was another pioneer of this game and one of the brains behind the Royal Family storyline. He was the leader of several now famous and infamous allainces and always a strongly opinionated individual, with a sharp tongue and a sharper wit, he was and is still considered to be one of the most important people to play this game. Trystan is currently inactive
Creator and Leader of "The Order of Ul-mar" renamed several resets later simply as "The Order". Leader of the Royal Family. Mentor of Queen Sirse.

A good friend, and a nice and cooperative player. He usually plays under the kd name Zizou in Dan. Unfortunately RL issues prevent him from playing for some time now :(

One of the key members of "the Horde" Creator of "Thunder Chain" and a dozen more alliances. Very good RPer she had the power to make others follow her. Missed by many.

Although she has a bad reputation because she was one of the more proactive administrators during the time of Eric and Parker, Venus was a standup player.
-
She was mostly seen playing a Vampire. She used to stay logged in chatroom for days.
- Manwue
One of shadowmere's greatest ever and most loved admins.
Wife of Ren, and desire of many
One of the better vampire players, he is known as Joel now when he decides to show up from time to time.
LUBBINS DA WUBBINS!
Wubbins was the first "vet" who engaged me (Bloodfist) in conversation in chat and really made me feel welcome. His drunken chat sessions kept me coming back time and time again.
He really loved Granola.
A character of old times, he was a popular figure of the Nubian Alliance and devoted his life to a now extinct race: gremlins (and the God of Rain)
/me waves to the emoting Aussie dressed always in grey. /me muses Proved that sprites are scary when everyone else said they were pathetic.
Her(his) kingdom was "Fire&Ice". A very good player, has stayed a couple of rounds to the top, but he is most famous for pretending to be a girl and distributing nude (or revealing) pics of herself. Rumor has his real name was Frank.
- Manwue
AKA geo (right?) -- did extensive work on new versions of chat, but never finished the standalone version, and his versions were never adopted.
I am afraid! Good skilled player, whos biggest problem is his inability of a proper start every round:) The best starting players get 20k or more score, Sam is only at 8k;) Maybe he is too stupid for this game, but be aware of him, if his favourite race (humans) reach the upper spheres. Then it might be very dangerous to mess with him.....
