In this screen one can see the attacks, trades and spells that one kingdom has done, or received. Also the "Alliance only" box is ticked, you can see what actions have been made by or at/against your allies (by/to the named kingdom). To see what is done by or to all your allies leave the names spaces blanc, tick the box and search.
The Recent Wars screen has many and varied uses. Some of what you can discern through some analysis are kingdoms acting as allies, kingdoms that are enemies of each other, player playing times, and identify potential targets.
- Kingdoms acting as allies. If you don't have spy/scrying capabilities, which is typical for a newly formed kingddom, then you can use recent wars to try to find out who is allied. If you see trades occuring between kingdoms then they are either directly allied or indirectly working with each other. Look for spells that don't use abuse slots, those just might be barriers being cast. If you see a pattern of spell casting over time that doesn't use abuse slots then the kingdoms are highly likely to be in cahoots with each other.
- Kingdoms that are enemies of each other. If you see that a war is raging between kingdoms and you have retaliations on one of them then you can join forces with the other kingdom that has retaliations. Or strike back quickly so that you get the land and not the other kingdom with retaliations. Sometimes it is prudent to wait for other kingdoms to take their retaliations first and then do some recon to see if you can get land as well.
- Player playing times. People are creatures of habit. When another player is online when you are attacking their kingdom things can get complicated very quickly. For instance they can Ressurect troops, rebuild buildings, hire more troops, purchase troops off the Open Market, strike back at you, teleport, etc... It is wise to strike when you know the enemy is not online. Look at the recent wars for the kingdom. Does it always attack during certain time ranges of server time? If so then launch your attacks outside of those windows and preferably shortly after they rarely if ever play. This way you will have a larger retaliation window to strike back if they choose to attack back.
- Identify potential targets. Look at the recent wars to find a kingdom that has just completed an attack run. If you find one within range that very recently handed out a lot of retaliations then you may have identified your land farm. Spy/scry to find out what kind of defense they have and any alliance affiliations. If you think that you can take land then launch the attack. Make sure to do as much damage as possible so that everyone that has retaliations is more likely to follow your lead. With luck and some strategy you just might gain a lot of land and after everyone takes their retaliations the poor kingdom may have insufficient resources and land to attack you back.
These are just some of the potential uses. Use the recent wars page to gain some advantage.
