This is written for people confused about or not understanding the new open market rules.
These are the changes so far. Change 1 We had different cases where kingdoms sold all their army on defense. This looked like land transfer and caused judgment issues. To avoid those problems you can now only sell 50% of your troops within 24 hours. There are currently no limits to equipment, laborers and scholars. Change 2 The rule mentioned before was modified again. It now only applies, if a kingdom has retals out. It was asked how exactly the rule works. It simply compares the troops (all troops but laborers and scholars) you sold in the last 24 hours to the troops that remain in your kingdom. It is not just the amount but also the experience of the troops that is compared. Change 3 The rule mentioned below has been modified again. It is now only applies to sales that have happened after your first offensive action within 24 hours. Nothing changes from the original rules before change 1, unless you have hit someone in the previous 24hrs. As soon as you hit someone the game takes a tally of your total troops owned during this time. This includes troops you have offloaded, had killed, sold etc, and u can only sell 50% of the total amount. I have made a formula. X = Total troops you currently own. Y = Total troops you have sold since you gave you tal Z = Total troops you have traded away since you gave your tal Q = Total troops which have died and not been regenned since you gave your tal. A = total troops owned during the time since you gave the tal, or A = X + Y + Z + Q B = amount u can still sell on the open market, or B = ((A)/2)- Y = ((X+Y+Z+Q)/2)-Y I’ll do some examples. Example 1 At its most basic. You have 100k troops and have just hit Kevin cos he is a noob and easy land. X = 100k Y = 0 Z = 0 Q = 0 A = X + Y + Z + Q A = 100k + 0 + 0 + 0 = 100k B = ((A)/2)- Y B = (100k/2) – 0 = 50k This means u can sell 50k troops Example 2 Now assume you sell those 50k and hire 100k new troops. This gives you a current total of 150k troops X = 150k Y = 50k Z = 0 Q = 0 A = X + Y + Z + Q A = 150k + 50k + 0 + 0 = 200k B = ((A)/2)- Y B = (200k/2)-50k = 50k This means u can sell 50k troops. Even though you only have 150k, and half of that is 75k, you can only sell 50k because you aren’t factoring in the troops u have sold since u gave that tal. Example 3 Assume you have 100k on hand, have traded 30k to myrk cos she is so cute, and lost 20k hitting niggl cos u plain don’t like him. You have sold none. X = 100k Y = 0 Z = 30k Q = 20k A = X + Y + Z + Q A = 100k + 0 + 30k + 20k = 150k B = ((A)/2)- Y B = (150k/2)-0 = 75k This is ¾ of your current army. But u can only sell half? Yes, but half of total troops owned since u hit. Not half of current troops. Example 4 Now assume you own 750k troops, since u hit you have sold 400k, traded 100k to JS to stop him complaining, and lost 50k to hitting an ugly mino named minto X = 750k Y = 400k Z = 100k Q = 50k A = X + Y + Z + Q A = 750k + 400k + 100k + 50k = 1.3mil B = ((A)/2)- Y B = (1.3mil/2)-400k = 250k Once again this time u can only sell 1/3 of your current troops, because you aren’t factoring in the total amount owned in the previous 24hrs, nor the troops you have already sold.
So what does this mean? How does the system currently work? People don’t seem to understand the math involved so I will explain as simply as I can.
