Introduction
In the options screen, you may put your Kingdom into vacation mode (or Vac Mode). While in vacation mode, You do not get gold from your Open Market sales, nor do you build up turns. People cannot attack your kingdom while you are in vacation mode (unless you gave them retals), basically, it's like your kingdom does not exist
Rules about going into Vacation Mode
Quoted from the front page:
- "If you have given retals in the last 24 hours or if somebody acts on you within 2 minutes before you vacate, your vacation is restricted. Restricted vacations may be taken only once every 20 days and must last at least 96 hours. Non-restricted vacations may be taken only once every 4 days and must last at least 24 hours. And vacations on the test server may be entered and left without restriction."
Other Quotes from General Mail:
- "if you take retals in the 24 hours before you vacate then it counts as restricted. Otherwise people could retaliate against a powerful alliance and avoid stacks with little consequence."
- "When you vacate, your score goes to 0 so the only people that can attack you are those that have retals on you. You accumulate no turns while vacated. You do not get the gold for any of your OM trades that have been purchased while you are vacated."
